Residence Inn Georgetown

We got an upgrade and an earlier check-in, which I appreciated, and I’d definitely stay here again. The hotel is pleasant, the staff are welcoming, and it’s very close to the heart of Georgetown. A few small things could’ve been better: there was some salt or sugar on the kitchenette counter when we arrived, and although the room had coffee, creamer, and sweetener, there weren’t any takeout cups. The bathroom also had no hand soap.

The breakfast was decent, though the hot choices were limited to eggs, sausage, a breakfast sandwich, and the usual items you see everywhere. Getting into the parking lot and driving up to the hotel felt a little awkward. Still, I’d highly recommend this place and would put it near the top of my list for another Austin-area stay. We spent two weekend nights here, partly because it was newly built and I hoped the air conditioning would be better than at an older hotel I’d just stayed in, where the room smelled musty. This room delivered: the AC worked great, everything was clean, and the layout and amenities were good. The bed was on the firm side, but nowhere near as hard as beds at many other hotels. The front desk staff were pleasant, if a little talkative, which was fine with me.

The rooms felt modern and very comfortable, with plenty of space and everything spotlessly clean. We had a wonderful stay at Residence Inn - Georgetown, TX, and it really felt like a home away from home. We’ll be back next time we’re nearby.
