Super 8 by Wyndham Gettysburg

We had a great weekend getaway with our two dogs. The room was clean, the price was very reasonable, and breakfast was included. The staff were so nice and accommodating. We also enjoyed relaxing in the pool and jacuzzi.

The free breakfast was simple, but there was a good bite to eat and hot coffee. My room at the Super 8 by Wyndham Gettysburg was clean and comfortable, and every staff member I met was polite and professional. It may be rated on the lower end, but I think it would hold its own against most three-star and probably many four-star hotels. Management and staff deserve credit for offering a good room at a great price.

We paid under $200 for two nights, which felt like a steal. The staff were friendly and respectful, and the location felt very safe. The rooms were clean, the pillows were really comfortable, and the amenities were nicer than at most Motel 8s. There’s a soda machine and an on-site washer and dryer that worked well and took credit cards. We also enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and decent breakfast bar with waffles, bagels, eggs, sausage, yogurt, and fresh fruit. I wish every Motel 8 were like this. I’d stay again in a heartbeat!

I really like this hotel and have stayed twice in the past year to get away for a couple of nights. The area is great, with stores, food, and shops nearby, the prices are amazing, and I hope they stay that way. The pool is nice, and I love the hot tub. We did find one bedbug. My fiancé has worked in pest control for a few years, so he knew how to handle it and treat our belongings. We told the front desk, and they were upset and offered a free night and a room change. Before moving, my fiancé, the pest guy, and I checked the room carefully but didn’t find any others. We changed rooms and took the steps we needed to stay safe, and didn’t find any in the second room either. We’re not sure how bad the problem is.
