St. Brendan's Inn

I chose this quaint inn for a concert at the Meyer Theater, and it's practically across the street, about a two-minute walk. It sits on the Riverwalk, on the east side of Green Bay, which is a different area from TitleTown and Lambeau, where many visitors want to stay. I'll return even when I'm not here for a concert, and if you're going to the Meyer Theater, the short walk makes this a great choice. The room had lovely decor instead of generic motel furniture, a plush mattress, a down comforter, a jet bathtub, and an open stand-up shower. Breakfast was free and cooked, with omelets too. I didn't have time to visit the classy-looking Irish pub, but the staff were very friendly and kind. It was wonderfully quiet for sleeping. I can't say enough good things about the place. I'll attach photos.

Sitting by the river on the outdoor deck was relaxing, and the setting was beautiful. The potato and leek soup was delicious. I liked the rueben too, though it would have been better if the corned beef had been cut against the grain.

The meal was so good I couldn't stop eating, that's my complaint! When we arrived, we got a warm welcome, and the receptionist helped book the restaurant so we wouldn't miss our show at The Meyer. Afterward, the bartender welcomed us back to the pub for a glass of wine. Our room was quiet and comfortable. We didn't use the jet tub because we're old, but we did use the zero-entry shower because we're old, not dead. We'll be back.

The lamb shank is out of this world, and the corned beef is wonderful. They also have a great selection at the bar. I've never had a bad meal or experience here. It's one of my father's and my favorite restaurants.
