Harlows Casino Resort

The staff are still super friendly and the rooms are nice, but the casino isn’t worth the drive like it used to be. Getting there is difficult, and they’ve tightened up the machines. In the high limit room, some house keeps have more than doubled. I see plenty of people who used to go to Harlows at other casinos in Arkansas now. It’s a shame, and I hope they figure it out.

The hotel rooms are very outdated, and if cigarette smoke bothers you, don’t come here. For a sit-down meal, go somewhere else instead of Dixie Diner Cafe. I ordered fried pork chops with mashed potatoes and Cole slaw, but the Cole slaw was hot, the sides came in a 2 oz cup, and it took 35 minutes. I’d asked to eat in, yet it came set up as a Togo order. Not worth it.

The staff were as nice as they could be, really sweet and helpful, and the beds were comfortable in nice rooms. But the TV needs updating if you want to watch anything. Maybe they’d rather have you in the casino. The fountain drinks at the delta restaurant were awful. I don’t know what was wrong with them, but I went out and bought bottled drinks and felt wary about drinking anything there afterward. After 9, there’s no Waffle House or anything else nearby to eat besides the casino, so bring snacks.

Candace did a great job with my Brazilian wax at The Magnolia Day Spa. She was professional, friendly, gentle, and efficient, explaining what she was doing and helping me feel at ease the whole time. The result was smooth with no irritation afterward. The spa itself was spotless and relaxing, with a calming feel. I’ll be back and recommend Candace and The Magnolia Day Spa for waxing.
