Quality Inn Greenville near University

The owner was so sweet and accommodating when checking us in, and our stay was wonderful. Everything was clean and nice, and breakfast was very good. There are lots of restaurants nearby. We’d highly recommend staying here!

The room smelled incredibly bad, and the next morning I found huge dead roaches on the floor. I checked out right away. There was also a dispute at check-in because I’d paid online in full, but they insisted I hadn’t. Once I showed my receipt and confirmation on my phone, they gave me the keys. After the payment issue was sorted, the service was good.

The room was remarkably quiet, and I was happy with my stay. I came for a procedure near the ECU Medical Campus and wanted an affordable place that wasn’t run-down. The front desk woman was friendly and helpful when I called around 11:30 a.m. to ask about checking in early. I booked a King Room, which exceeded my expectations. The main surfaces were clean, and after my usual quick Clorox wipe-down, the room was practically spotless. The sofa looked worn and could use a cleaning or replacement. The TV was new and had Airplay, though the remote was a bit odd. The bathroom was clean and maintained, but clearly older. The springy bed wasn’t very comfortable, and there was no outlet by the desk, which was strange but didn’t matter much since I wasn’t working. I barely heard any noise while I was there. Breakfast was very basic, with a waffle machine, and there are plenty of food options within five minutes of the hotel. I’d stay here again in Greenville.

I felt violated and heartbroken when my sentimental, expensive Zales earrings disappeared from the counter. I booked five nights but left after two and had to pay for three nights elsewhere. I was in town for business and away most of the day. Within my first 24 hours, I noticed my suitcase had been unzipped and some belongings rearranged. A bathroom towel was missing too. Housekeeping said they came in to service the room after I raised the issue, though I never requested service. They hadn’t replaced the soap, supplied tissue, made the bed, or emptied the trash, so I don’t believe they cleaned the room at all. The rooms had roaches crawling on you while you ate. The GM seemed careless and unwilling to see what had happened. Nobody contacted me to apologize, resolve anything, or reimburse me. They made excuses for housekeeping and said I should have put a sign on the door. The whole response was unprofessional. I’ll take this further. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere. You’ve been warned.
