SureStay Hotel by Best Western Greenville

Really comfy, tidy rooms, and very clean. I loved the hospitality and service. Keep up the good work, I’d definitely recommend it.

We picked this hotel while driving, with no trip planned ahead. Check-in was pleasant, and the room and hotel were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was basic continental, so we went to the nearby McDonald's and carried on down the road. It’s a cute little town. We were only passing through, but I’d like to come back and visit.

After a 12-hour driving day, we stopped around 9 at night. The gentleman showed us a room and was very friendly. It was clean, we felt safe, and the price was reasonable with breakfast included. We could park where we could see our car. The bed was comfortable, we enjoyed the stay, and we’ll be back.

I didn’t want a smoking room, and the website didn’t make that clear. The Best Western site says all rooms are 100% smoke free, but this one smelled heavily of smoke. It had so many problems that it shouldn’t have been rented. The base of many walls was pulled away, with holes drilled in the walls, and the baseboard was actually carpet. The rubber edging around the Jacuzzi tub wasn’t fitted properly or secured, so we were hesitant to use it. The front door was dented, the blankets were thin and terrible, and my wife was cold. Nine hours after we got home, I could still smell the smoke in my nose. The property had been purchased two months earlier, but this room clearly wasn’t finished. There was discolored damage painted over, with mismatched wall colors instead of repainting the whole wall. That might seem petty, but it’d be a simple fix. The windows hadn’t been cleaned in a while, and food was left in the mini fridge. The desk was nice, but its chair felt like it might break when I sat down. At least the lights worked, and hot water came on pretty quickly.
