This hotel has been abandoned for months, with doors and windows boarded up. Google keeps showing it as open even after I marked it permanently closed dozens of times; those edits were accepted and posted, but a week or more later the listing still said open. The May 2025 Street View image also shows the situation. Update, November 2025: it was marked open again, but the property is still abandoned. ?????

Check-in and checkout were easy, and the price is fair for what you get, even without breakfast. But we expected breakfast because the website said it was included, and the hotel told us they don't serve it. The room looked clean but was very rundown. There were no actual blankets, just sheets and a decorative cover, the in-room coffee maker was broken, and other guests were loud in the hallway late into the night. It took a while to get into the room because the partly broken handle had to be lifted to open the door. Another guest explained that to us, which seems like something the front desk should mention. There are two floors and no elevator, so ask for a first-floor room if stairs or carrying luggage is a problem.

I slept well, and the halls were quiet at night. The room was old and dated but clean, and there's a fitness center. The clerk was nice and checked me in quickly. There's a small breakfast in the morning, though I didn't try it. The surroundings aren't great, with a very low-budget hotel next door, a small lot with potholes, and several sketchy people wandering through the parking area. A woman who seemed under the influence came to my room asking for “Kyle,” which left me wondering about possible drug activity. Still, this typical roadside inn wasn't horrible despite the reviews. I'd stay again if I had to, but it wouldn't be my first choice. Other hotels at the same exit seem safer.

The women at the front desk were very nice during check-in and understanding when we requested a refund after deciding not to stay. Our first room had no lock, and the second one didn't either. The lights in that room were out, and the sheets didn't look clean. When we tried to leave, its door wouldn't close. We were then told most rooms weren't protected by locks. The front desk staff said the cleaning crew “just bust in” when they go in to clean. That's all I can say positively about this hotel.

The staff were mostly friendly, and it was handy to have a mini fridge and microwave in the room. That's about where the good points end. The pool was out of service, though that wasn't clear when booking, and there wasn't any breakfast to speak of. The building smelled off, with assorted stains and holes in the walls. There were no smoke detectors in the rooms; we were assured the building-wide system would be heard if there were an emergency. The AC seemed to stop overnight no matter what we tried. There are only two floors, but no elevator for anyone who has trouble with stairs. The rear entrance doesn't latch, so you can get into the building without a key card. There also don't seem to be enough accessible parking spaces, and people use them like regular spots, keeping drivers with placards from parking where they need to. Better to spend your money somewhere else.
