Knights Inn Greenville, TX

Miss Katie at the front desk was always kind, helpful, and nice during our 2-2 1/2 weeks there. Housekeeping was nice and helpful too, and we had a good Rx. It felt like home, so we’ll definitely stay again. I do wish there were some kind of indoor pool.

The rooms were hot as hell and took ages to cool down. Getting into the place was a mess too. I’d paid in full, but although it showed as open, nobody came to the door after I rang both buttons 15 to 20 times. The police came to see if they could get someone to answer, and eventually got them to come to the window. Then my key cards didn’t work, so I had to go back and have them redone.

Knights Inn is a great place for families, and it’s kid friendly. The surroundings were clean, quiet, and nice, and all the staff were friendly. I absolutely love staying here.

The room smelled strongly of cigarettes even though I’d requested a non-smoking one. The front desk insisted it was non-smoking, so I bought Febreze and sprayed the whole place just to tolerate it. I also wiped down every surface with Clorox wipes because I had no faith in how clean it was. There was hair in the tub, on the sheets, and in the towels, the walls were grimy, and the toilet was so small it felt made for kids. There wasn’t an iron or desk chair, so I couldn’t get any work done. I ended up covering the pillows with two of my T-shirts and using my jacket as a blanket. This was meant to be a three-night booking through priceline because of the decent reviews and low price, but I checked out after just one night. I didn’t even try to get a refund, I just couldn’t stay longer. I booked a room at the nearby Western Hotel first thing the next morning, and it was ten times better. Unless you absolutely can’t afford another option, I strongly recommend staying somewhere else. You’ve been warned.
