Urban Boutique Hotel, BW Signature Collection

I paid $250 for four nights, Monday through Friday, and the room had cable, a perfectly acceptable bathroom, and free breakfast. For that price, it’s hard to find a better deal, especially among places a mile down the road in the same range. It’s clearly not the Four Seasons, but that isn’t the point when you’re looking for value. This place used to feel sketchy and sleazy before Covid. Now it’s updated, well lit, and feels safe, and the prices don’t seem to reflect that improvement.

After more than 12 hours driving from New Orleans, this little place had what we needed: a cute room, a fair price, and waffles at breakfast. We’d seen mixed reviews and took a chance, and Dave at the front desk made us glad we did. He was kind and helpful. We had to cut a night short to get ahead of a winter storm, and his main concern was keeping us safe and comfortable that evening. We’ll be back.

The place was super clean, and for the price I don’t think you can do better. The room and shower felt like they belonged in a much more expensive hotel, and the building has a modern look. Breakfast was complimentary and the food was great, hot, and better than what I’ve had at some restaurants. After I ate, I left my phone on the table. The young woman working that morning ran after me and called out to let me know. I was so grateful. Really great customer service, and I’d recommend it to anyone.

I used to work as an executive housekeeper, so I checked the room carefully. Everything was working, and it was clean and nicely managed for a decent price. The only thing I found was that the microwave had been missed, which happens. I didn’t find any problems with the coffee pot, iron water, or AC filters. Housekeeping did a wonderful job. Thanks for the room, I hope to stay again.
