WoodSpring Suites Hobbs

It took me a while to find a good hotel in hobbs, then someone pointed me to Woodsprings. The rooms were clean, and the beds and bathrooms looked nice. Staff were really nice too. Good price, service, and cleanliness.

The staff were very nice, and everything else was very good. I thought breakfast was offered, but I didn’t see any. Maybe that’s because Dennys is next door. It would’ve been nice to at least have a cup of coffee in the morning. There wasn’t even a small coffee maker in the room. Oh well.

The rooms were okay, nothing special, and getting room service was more of a hassle than at other places. I stayed three weeks and didn’t get cleaning or fresh towels until I asked the front desk about it. Check-in took ages too. Once the clerk finally showed up, it seemed like he didn’t know how to use the system.

I work night shifts and have stayed all over the country and abroad, including at the WoodSpring in north Dakota for over 5 years. I’ve never had a hotel treat me this disrespectfully, and I won’t come back or recommend this place. At 11:30 in the morning, I was woken by grinding in the next room. The maintenance man was sending sparks into the hallway, with no warning about the noise or for people walking by. It seemed like a huge safety hazard, and I didn’t see a fire extinguisher. Nobody had told me work would be happening. When I complained, the office basically said to deal with it or check out. They were willing to move me after I complained, but said he was doing maintenance everywhere and all hotels do it. I didn’t want to move all my belongings, food from the refrigerator, and cooking things in the middle of my night, only to have unscheduled maintenance stop me sleeping in another room.
