The room was clean, and the night clerk was very accommodating. When we told her the toilet hadn’t been flushed and there was about an inch of water standing in the tub, she apologized and moved us to another room. The bed and pillows there were so uncomfortable that my husband slept on the couch. Also, the shower liner was about four inches too short at the shower-head end, so water got all over the floor. At checkout on Sunday, the day clerk only asked whether we wanted a receipt and didn’t ask how our stay was.

The location worked well, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby, and the daytime staff were helpful when we asked for keycards the next day. At 1 a.m., after a long day of travel, we were told the recently overhauled keycard system and its reported backup were both down. We had no keys, so the desk clerk had to walk us to the room and let us in. The room was tidy enough to use, but it looked worn and hadn’t been renovated. I wasn’t sure about the cleanliness, especially the couch. It was livable, but felt like a two-star hotel and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Easy to reach just off the highway, though being right by the highway is the downside. The workers at the desk were friendly, but the place is worn out. Our refrigerator cabinet wouldn’t shut, the sink stopper wouldn’t close, and the bathroom had no fan, with its light switch outside the door. The shower curtain was hanging by only two of its four screws; the floor was sticky, the old toilet didn’t have a soft-close seat, and we could hear the bed springs. The keycards and hardware looked old, and so did the desk and TV area. Passable, with nice people, but I wouldn’t pay more than $80 a night.

They let us check in a little early for the wedding we were attending, and the service was amazing. The location was convenient off the expressway for what we needed. Our room was very clean, though the rooms and building show serious age and badly need an upgrade. Since we only needed one night, it worked for us.
