Days Inn Holland

The rooms are newer, nicely decorated, and very clean, and I’d definitely stay again. It’s in a quieter, nicer part of town and is convenient. The common areas still need some updating, and the carpets need cleaning. You can smell that they allow animals.

I called to ask about the security deposit, and the woman on the phone said, “It’s, uh, 200.” I repeated back, “You said 100?” and she clarified that it was $200. That’s got to be a joke. Google said $50-100, and the other hotels nearby are just as nice while legitimately asking for only $50-100.

The location near downtown Holland is great for a quick visit, and the room was clean and updated. You can’t really walk downtown easily, but biking or driving works. The front desk staff were kind, though nobody cleaned our room during the stay. There were good snacks and coffee to grab in the morning before heading out. For the price and location, it was a good spot.

The room itself was clean and in order, which was a pleasant surprise. The grounds and building looked run down when we arrived, and the lobby smelled of weed. The outdoor pool is nice. Breakfast was grab-and-go, with quite a few healthier choices.
