I won’t stay there again. For a new hotel, a lot of it looked beat up, and my first room was filthy. The refrigerator had a strange stain across the whole front. The toilet was dirty, the shower and sink hadn’t been cleaned, and the towels looked like they’d been picked up off the floor and shoved on the rack. I went downstairs right away for another room, and I wasn’t the only guest doing that. The front desk guy was very nice and found me a replacement. It was okay, though still beat up and poorly made overall. In the morning there was a large box bug on the other pillow. Then I looked at the curtains and saw lots of bugs, including on the living room curtains. I told the front desk lady while checking out. She was really nice and receptive to the feedback. Honestly, the quality at Marriott properties hasn’t felt the same over the past couple of years.

It was a mixed stay at this older TownePlace. The common areas were nice, and breakfast was standard for TownePlace. Staff did a great job keeping the food filled, even with 20+ college basketball players grabbing breakfast at once. The room could use maintenance, though. Our AC unit squeaked oddly all night, which didn’t help us sleep well.

There was no coffee with breakfast in the morning because the staff were busy flirting with guests and chasing boys instead of doing their jobs.

Our room was right by the elevator, which made little sense since the hotel wasn’t full. We also had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come to the desk, and the shower only had one door.

I haven’t tried the pool yet, but it looked nice. Towneplace suites here in Hopkinsville is the best place to stay, with super friendly people from the front desk to housekeeping and maintenance. I love the early breakfast options and comfortable beds, and it’s close to restaurants and Starbucks. Whether you’re here for work or vacation, you’ll have a comfortable stay.
