Comfort Inn & Suites SW Houston Sugarland

The room was roomy and the bed was comfortable, and check-in and checkout were easy. But I saw five bugs in the room, which was nasty and unprofessional. At least none were in the bed, but having to deal with bugs when you’re meant to relax is wild. The room locks were loose too, which felt unsafe, especially as a woman. For a quick stay it might be okay, just watch out for those issues. Getting help in the middle of the night is another matter, good luck with that. I’d give it zero stars if I could.

The room seemed decent at first, but by checkout we found roaches on the doors and around the beds and pillows. There were more in the food area, so we grabbed our things and left. We stayed two nights. On the first morning, there was pancake batter but no waffle maker. On checkout morning the maker was there, but the food stuck to it looked old and gross, so we didn’t use it. The breakfast was nasty. The TV didn’t work, so there was no entertainment for little ones, and there were no playpens or cribs available. The indoor pool was closed until further notice. The girl at the front counter was very dismissive, though I did get my deposit back. I don’t recommend staying here.

The corridors, lobby, and sometimes the area outside the main entrance had a strong marijuana smell during both visits. It lingered through much of our time there and made an uncomfortable first impression. We also saw multiple cockroaches, and the rooms needed a deeper cleaning. Housekeeping was uneven, and some staff had an attitude that took away from the hospitality. The pool stayed closed for both stays, reportedly because of cold weather. We were at Comfort Inn & Suites - 11050 Southwest Freeway twice on our recent Houston trip, January 21st to January 24th, then February 4th through February 17th after a short trip to Dallas. The experience was mixed, though some parts worked well. Front desk staff were consistently helpful and polite. The weekly cash rate was reasonable for an extended stay, parking was easy, and the location was convenient for seeing friends and family in Sugar Land, Richmond, Rosenberg, Stafford, and Memorial City. Traveling north toward Spring, Tomball, and Cypress was straightforward too. Breakfast was adequate to start the day, though nothing special. The hotel is good value for a longer stay thanks to the price, parking, and location. Cleanliness, odor control, and maintenance need attention.

A useful stop if you’re heading into south TX, since it’s easy to get on and off the road and avoids morning traffic. Service was good, and the spacious room was decent value for an overnight stay if you’re not too picky, though it felt old. The sink had very low pressure, but the shower was fine.
