I’m so glad I moved out last month. Safety was starting to feel questionable, and the demographic has changed a lot over time. I lived there for five years, and the owner didn’t fix anything during that whole stretch. The HOA wasn’t doing anything either. Leaving was the best decision I could make.

I stayed in Houston for six months and rented a condo here. The unit was cozy, and parking was plentiful, but I wouldn’t rent here again. Of the three pools, only the one at the very front was maintained, which wasn’t convenient. The mailboxes get broken into constantly, and the HOA doesn’t invest in them or do anything about it, so you’ll want a mailbox somewhere else. Check that everything works before you settle in. The water pressure was garbage, and there was no hot water in the shower. When I told the owner, I got the runaround about fixing it. Residents are mostly labor class, so don’t expect courtesy, friendly neighbors, or a family-oriented environment. Still, the place served my purpose while I was in Houston.

I moved here six months ago because it’s close to my job. I expected retired, quiet, nice people, but my next-door neighbor has all the people, and even when I say good morning, he won’t say hi. I keep trying to be nice, but nothing works. The other people are okay, it’s only this guy. He doesn’t like our family because we’re Arab and not white like him, just because I’m Muslim and he isn’t. Even when he sees me cleaning my car, he wants to make a report about me. He’s in number 20, so be careful.

As an owner, I feel there’s neither security nor respect here, and moving to this property was the worst decision. The management uses "Spartan Security Company," and several owners, including my family, have serious issues with one of their guards. The man is short and black, comes from Haiti, and cannot speak English. Instead of respecting and protecting owners, he insults them. It’s ridiculous to be insulted in your own home. His behavior is rude, offensive, and annoying. The management doesn’t seem to care about his behavior and has his back. We believe Texas law gives us legal rights regarding hardship and financial lost caused by this guard and the property management.
