Red Roof Inn Houston North - FM 1960 & I-45

There was a serious crash here involving four people. A car flipped from I-45 onto the feeder road and was completely crumpled. It looked like it might catch fire, so we asked the owners for a fire extinguisher, but they refused to give us one. In an emergency like that, their response was concerning and showed little urgency or awareness of safety.

Ms Tameko made my stay worthwhile. She was always warm and welcoming, went out of her way for customers, and patiently explained the hotel's points system when other staff didn't bother. I even saw her try to speak Spanish to communicate, though she wasn't fluent. Her customer service is impeccable. The place also allows pets and serves coffee in the morning. The rooms cost too much for their condition. My room and bathroom doors wouldn't close properly, and although the sheets and blankets had been cleaned, they had holes and stains. I saw some roaches, too. Vihba, her husband, and son, the family running the location, were helpful in their own ways, but they spoke harshly to customers.

We've kept coming back because the staff are amazing. The rooms are very spacious and clean, and the recent renovation gave them a more modern look that suits them well. The grounds are well maintained, and the overall atmosphere is peaceful.
