The room smelled when I first walked in, and the door's latch was broken, so it couldn't be secured properly. In the morning I noticed several bites on myself. My son had multiple bites on his face, back, and leg, even though we'd slept in separate beds. We went out for the day, and when we returned I flipped the mattress and found bed bugs. I called downstairs, and they offered to move us to the room next door. They said they'd call an exterminator, but after reading earlier reviews, I doubt they did. I would never recommend this place. Zero stars.

The staff are helpful and accommodating overall, and the place has usually been very clean with comfortable beds during my many work stays. This time, though, I used points for a free night and got the worst room I've stayed in: torn bedding, a taped-up remote, and just one water and coffee cup. For work paperwork, I was told I could only email it to them and they would print a maximum of four pages. There's also now a mold or mildew problem after the flooding, so be careful if you have allergies.

The mattresses seemed new, and they were clean and comfortable. This is my preferred place to stay when I travel, and I'd come back. My only complaint is that it's quite a distance from any attractions.

One room with two beds cost me $79 plus tax, which wasn't too bad for a hotel just off one of Houston's main highways. The small indoor pool closed at 10 PM, and the rooms were pretty nice, with LG flat-screen TVs mounted on the wall. The beds were firm but comfortable. My complaints were the very limited, not very good free breakfast, and pushy staff: they kicked us out of the pool five minutes early, and housekeeping knocked on my door two and a half hours before checkout.
