WoodSpring Suites Houston Northwest

I liked the location, and I appreciated that they kept the things we accidentally left in the room after checkout. The hallways smell strongly of cigarettes, and there were a very small number of roaches, though that's common in places where people stay temporarily. They wouldn't extend my stay because I'd decorated my room window for Christmas.

The room was very clean and neat, and everything was well maintained. The on-site washers and dryers take coins. The service was better than expected, and I'd highly recommend this place.

I felt hurt and disrespected when I called the hotel trying to reach someone staying there. A few of the women were polite, but three were rude: they told me to call back, left me on hold for a long time, or hung up before answering. I wasn't calling to cause trouble, just to get in touch with someone I care about. I understand hotels have policies, but basic courtesy still matters. I hope management takes this seriously, because the way people speak to callers can leave them feeling very uncomfortable.

The woman at the front desk was cordial and even gave me a plastic fork for my food. She was the one redeeming part of the stay, but that wasn't nearly enough. My lamp didn't work, the room phone was broken, and the hallway carpets were filthy. Then there were cockroaches everywhere. The place sucks.
