Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Idaho Falls

I haven't stayed at this hotel, but I had a really good interaction with a staff member named David. He was kind, patient, and helpful, and his warm, professional service stood out. Based on that alone, I'd consider staying here in the future. Thanks for going above and beyond!

I'm baffled by the high ratings. The carpet badly needs updating, and the beds are saggy and uncomfortable. The walls are literally paper thin. It's past midnight and I can hear a toddler screaming upstairs and someone in the next room flushing the toilet again and again. I imagine this is what prison sounds like.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, with a separate living area and a jet tub. Everything worked despite the construction, though the gym is so small it's only good for a quick workout. There's plenty of food and shopping nearby, too. Renovations were still underway, so the lobby was closed. A small room had become a temporary front desk, and the conference room was being used for breakfast. It all felt a bit makeshift, but the staff were doing their best to keep things running smoothly. Once the work is done, this could be one of the better places to stay in Idaho Falls. I'd like to see how it turns out on a future visit.

The hotel was mid-renovation, so it felt like sleeping in a construction zone. On the second day, they refused to service our room when we asked. Our keys stopped working during the stay, and the elevator felt very sketchy. The suite's pull-out couch bed was even less comfortable than the couch, so don't plan on anyone sleeping there. The sheets were a cheap polyester-cotton blend, not 100% cotton.
