Holiday Inn Express Indianapolis South by IHG

The property itself is great, though reaching it from the north can be difficult. My room didn’t have a coffee pot anymore, but there are coffee machines in the lobby around the clock. The breakfast man is warm, entertaining, and engaging.

The bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the location made it easy to get downtown, with grocery stores and restaurants nearby. I had a pleasant overnight stay. The woman who checked me in was pretty cool, though I’m sorry I can’t remember her name. Breakfast was good, especially the crispy crunchy bacon, and I got some decent cardio and a workout in the fitness center. I accidentally locked my keys in the room, and the morning desk person was completely cool about it. I appreciated that she didn’t give me a hard time.

The neighborhood feels a little sketchy, but the location and price are worth it for us, and we’d stay again. This was our second visit, and we remembered Ronald from last year. He’s been here four years and is a light: charming, helpful, and delightful. Our room was clean and neat, with a choice of firm or soft pillows, plenty of lighting, easy-to-find switches, and standard and USB ports. Nobody was at the desk when we arrived, though we were greeted promptly and check-in was quick. We went back to the lobby soon after to get Wi-Fi help, but the desk was unattended and a line of people was waiting to check in.

We had to find a room at the last minute for an unexpected medical stay. The rate was competitive, and Cody at the front desk was super helpful. The rooms were clean and smelled clean. Ronald, the breakfast bar manager, had wonderful conversations with us both mornings and put out a fantastic buffet. We’ll definitely book here again.
