I felt unsafe and profiled during my stay at Super 8 Indianapolis. I was riding my bicycle through the parking lot when the night shift front desk employee came up aggressively while recording me on his phone. He called me “suspicious” in a condescending way. When I asked why he was filming me, especially with hallway cameras already recording, he said it was “so I can send it to my boss and show him what type of people are coming here at night.” I documented what happened, including video of the interaction, and asked management to intervene. I expect a full investigation, a full refund for my stay, and immediate disciplinary action, including termination of the employee. Nobody should be treated like a criminal or judged by appearance just for being on the property at night. Hotels like Wyndham/Super 8 have a legal duty to provide a safe, non-hostile stay, including protection against harassing or discriminatory treatment under public accommodation laws and an implied covenant of quiet enjoyment. In my view, staff acting like unauthorized rent-a-cops, recording guests without legitimate cause, making condescending comments about “what type of people” stay there, and escalating a simple sighting in the parking lot breached those responsibilities and exposed the hotel to liability for consumer protection violations and a hostile environment. I strongly advise avoiding this location. Poor management enables this behavior. I will pursue formal complaints with Wyndham corporate, Indiana authorities, BBB, and consumer protection agencies.

The room had no hot water, so my shower was miserable. It also didn't look properly cleaned: the soap bar was open, there was scum in the sink with a long hair, and the tub floor looked dirty. The blankets were so thin, like window curtains, that we took one off the second bed. There was mold on the window too. I didn't see any bugs. I was only looking for somewhere to sleep and shower before the morgan wallen concert, so this was disappointing. It wouldn't have been so bad if they cleaned the rooms and updated the bedding. The lady manager was extremely nice, though.

I picked this place for a quick stop, and had to check in fast and leave without inspecting the room fully. There was still trash from previous guests, and the front desk note saying I had one hour after check-in to report anything should've been a sign. I requested a non-smoking room, but it smelled like someone had smoked in it. The beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom fan was very loud, and you could hear everything around you.

The hotel was quiet and the rooms were clean while I was there visiting family. The staff were so sweet, and the housekeeper always checked whether I was doing okay or needed anything. I'd definitely recommend staying here.
