I checked in around 3 pm, and the room I was first given was wrong. They fixed that right away. Then I spotted little splatters of blood on the bathroom wall while showering, and that got dealt with immediately too. After that, people in the hallway were yelling and talking loudly, like there was a party. I tried to ignore it and get back to bed. Then I heard a crackling sound by the bed. At first I thought I was imagining it, but it got louder. I turned on the light and saw one of the biggest cockroaches I’ve ever seen, sitting under the end table like it lived there. I was so worn out by then that I didn’t even have the energy to scream or panic. It looked at me, I looked at it. I’m sure Marriott Las Colinas could fix things, but after the wrong room, blood, and a roach that practically owns the place, I was fed up and disappointed. The property itself is beautiful, with a lovely lake view and balconies. I’d stayed here before without a problem, but my second visit was a different experience. I should’ve taken the first sign as a reason to leave: a guest was already upset and asking for the manager when I arrived.

We came for my wife’s birthday during New Year’s Eve week, and the staff took really good care of us. The venue was mid to upper tier for Marriott’s standards, and we met lots of nice people. There was a party midweek, and it was cool seeing the lights in the upper floor windows. It looked like a disco, lol. We’ll definitely come stay again. Enjoy your stay, and ask for a late checkout! Thanks, Marriott staff!

We had a great NYE night here. Dinner on the heated outdoor patio by the water was delicious, and both the service and facilities were top notch. There’s plenty of secure, well lit parking in the covered garage, plus fine dining and other attractions nearby. The lake has concrete walking paths too. Five stars.

The waterfront setting is beautiful, and you can step from the back patio onto a walking path by the water with a great view. Toyota music factory and Irving Convention Center are close by too. We stayed two nights, found the place clean, and had an easy check-in and checkout. A great experience all the way through.

I checked in for my birthday and got no hot water in the room. The two employees who greeted me were drab and dry. I called the front desk, and the woman said she’d check and call me back, but she never did. I went down with my things and checked out. Nobody even apologized for the inconvenience. I also canceled my Saturday reservation. I wanted quality and high caliber customer service, and this wasn’t it. I went across the street to Westin, where the rooms are newer and nicer. They even gave me Westin Club access for my birthday and a high floor corner king room. This Marriott is trash!
