Residence Inn by Marriott Dallas Las Colinas

This is one of the original Residence Inns by Marriott, with townhouse-style units. We had an upgraded suite, including an upstairs bedroom with a full bathroom, TV, and other amenities. The front desk staff were very hospitable and helpful. It’s right off Highway 114, convenient for both airports, with plenty of places to eat and shop nearby along Macarthur Rd, in the heart of Las Colinas. The breakfast buffet was hot. I did suggest offering scrambled eggs or omelets instead of the packaged quiche, and pancakes or waffles alongside the biscuits, muffins, bagels, and pastries.

As a Marriott Titanium member, I came with reasonable expectations, but the service felt strained, like the staff were being made to act friendly. The breakfast was a real letdown: at 7:30 there were barely any eggs, and only a few sausages, which were dried out. I couldn’t eat it. The rooms are over 20 years old, and it shows. The popcorn ceilings have cracks, cold air came in all night through a gap around the door, and the furniture is worn. I can’t put this one on my return list.

I stayed for a week and enjoyed it. The weekday morning server was such a treasure. She was extremely hospitable, and I loved our morning conversations and how delightfully she interacted with all her guests. She’s one of Marriott’s best assets.

Kim and the whole staff made me feel welcome and looked after during my stay at the Residence Inn at Las Colinas in Dallas. They were genuinely kind and accommodating, and handled each request with care. My room was comfortable, clean, and just what I needed for an easy stay. I really appreciated the hospitality and would happily return. Highly recommend!
