Motel 6 Jackson, TN

Some guests weren't considerate: dogs barked next door, marijuana smell filled the hall, and people blasted music. That's on the guests, not the staff. I gave five stars because the man who checked me in and changed my room twice when I had concerns was so friendly. I think his name was Leo. The hotel itself was comfortable and friendly. It's a cheaper place, but the best inexpensive hotel I've stayed at, despite those issues. I'd recommend it if those kinds of guest behavior don't bother you.

Cristy is great, and Tom is great too. This part of town feels a little sketchy, though nothing too bad. There's no pet fee, which is awesome. I'd recommend it if you're traveling with a dog.

Pets stay free, which is about the only redeeming feature. The place is dated and barely maintained, despite what other reviews say about it being clean and new. The shower needs a serious cleaning, and its door won't close. Our non-smoking room had a faint cigarette smell, and there was a butt under the heater. The TV didn't work, and getting someone to fix it was a terrible experience. I don't know why people rate the staff highly: the lobby has a telepresence kiosk with staff who are probably offshore. I expect my $20 deposit back. I'd pass on this hotel.

Leo on the kiosk has been kind, helpful, and professional. He's the reason I pick Motel 6 instead of anywhere else. They should hire more people like him.
