Rodeway Inn Jackson Northwest

The floor was the most alarming part of our stay. In several spots it was split, cracked, soft, and sinking underfoot. It compressed when we stepped on it, making us worry it could give way. With damage like that, we felt there could be a real safety risk. The rest of the room was in serious disrepair too. There were large holes in the drywall, peeling paint, and exposed material inside the walls. In the bathroom, cracked, uneven tiles were separating, grout was crumbling, and there was heavy staining around the toilet base that looked consistent with long-term water damage. The loose floor tiles were unpleasant and potentially unsafe. My wife and I expected basic cleanliness and safety from a Rodeway Inn. Instead, we felt uncomfortable, misled, and unsafe. These weren't minor cosmetic problems, and the room shouldn't have been rented in that state. It's concerning that Choice Hotels lets its name be associated with conditions that fall so far short of basic maintenance and safety standards. This property is an embarrassment to the Choice Hotels reputation. Until it's properly inspected and repaired, I urge travelers to avoid it.

Breakfast was wonderful, and the place was so clean. Housekeeping did an awesome job, and customer service was thoughtful and understanding. I'd definitely recommend staying at the rodeway inn.

We left right away to find another hotel. The room felt unsafe, and the bed was hard as a rock. As soon as we walked in, the floor sank underfoot. There were patches and holes in the walls, the sink was dirty, and the bathroom floor was disgusting. Every step on it felt like a tile might break.

The guy at check-in was great, and the rooms were clean, though outdated. At checkout, the guy pushed me to leave a good review. If you want people to write nice things, don't make me wait five minutes while you check that I haven't taken towels or the TV remote.
