This was my third December stay at this Super 8. Devon usually checks me in on Friday, remembers me from the previous year, and always gives top-notch service. He’s personable and accommodating, and makes sure my stay goes well. The room is always clean, breakfast stays adequately stocked, and he’s on top of any concerns I raise. The other front desk staff are pleasant and accommodating, too. I’ll keep coming back as long as I have my annual business trip here.

Our TripAdvisor reservation had confused my assistant, and we needed two beds instead of the one we’d booked. It was Presidents Day weekend, and I was ready to have my friend sleep on a cot. Devon jumped into action and found us a room with two beds. That kind of customer service made our trip, and little things like that go a long way. The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to get around Jackson hole and village.

A guy upstairs made nonstop noises all night, like he was wearing concrete shoes and scraping the floor. It was well past 11:30 pm when I finally got up to complain, but the desk clerk was no help. I never got any sleep. Offering me another room in the middle of the night wasn’t the answer. The person making the noise should have been asked to quiet down, and noise should stop by at least 10 p.m. I’d also read other reviews saying the cleaning staff walked in, and I saw it happen myself. A woman knocked, waited about two seconds, then opened the door to an occupied room. This place clearly needs to train staff on how to handle things properly.

The room cost 350 dollars a night, and we came in late needing somewhere to stay. It was less than fair for that price: the carpet was dirty and the beds weren’t the best. The hotel was very dated, which I can understand, but it shouldn’t be dirty. You’d think a room at 350 dollars would have replacement linens. This is not one of Wyndhams finest!

The location is good, and the room was fine. The stay was otherwise pretty uneventful, though the internet was slow. I also can’t understand why they charge resort fees on top of the regular room rate when there’s no elevator.
