I've been here a week and paid for another one. The general manager is nice, but seeing the reviews about the “security” guard and doing nothing is INSANE. He has harassed me and my girlfriend twice. The first time, we were watching a duck walk around with our vapes in hand, but we weren't smoking. He told us to get completely off the property, while a LADY was smoking a cigarette in the parking lot RIGHT in front of him and he said nothing. Tonight, because our door was open, he came to our room, MADE EYE CONTACT with us, then banged on the OPEN door and told us to close it and move the fan out of the doorway. He didn't ask why it was open. Our AC has been blowing hot air that smells like absolute crap. As he closed the door, he said all of us needed to turn in our IDs at the front office. Funny, since HE checked us in and had all our IDs on file. He was talking aggressively until he realized my sister's boyfriend was asleep in the room. He's harassed us and other girls and hasn't been dealt with. Half these reviews seem FAKE, since all the guy ones say how lovely it is and the girls say how bad it is. IF YOU HAVE A WIFE, DAUGHTER, OR MOTHER ETC. DO NOT COME HERE. I'm allergic to dogs, too, but the website says no animals allowed. It seems only certain rules are enforced against certain people while others can do WHATEVER THEY WANT. I was going to take my complaints to the general manager tomorrow, but it's clear she doesn't care. Who is this guy walking around? He told us he's the manager, but others keep saying he's maintenance and a security guard. GENERAL MANAGER NEEDS TO MANAGE HER BUILDING BETTER.

We were tired and in a bad mood, but Angela & Kitrina kept making us laugh and turned our day around. They were professional and courteous, just like model employees.

I've lived at this location for about seven months and can no longer stay quiet about Karl's behavior toward residents and guests. He's supposedly the night security person. I had avoided interacting with him until six weeks ago, when I came back late from a company event in Orlando and found my room key wasn't working and the office was closed. I'd been told when I moved in to call the after-hours number, leave a message, look for Karl, and knock on his door if I still got no response. I knocked for a while before he came to the door, which seemed odd if he was on the clock. I apologized for the late visit and explained that my fiancée and I needed help getting into our room. He immediately scolded me as if I were a child who hadn't done his chores. I told him his behavior was out of line and wouldn't be tolerated by me as a resident. After he let us in, he said it would be the last time. In the days after that, he began harassing and verbally abusing guests who came to visit me or my fiancée. He threatened to involve law enforcement, accuse them of trespassing, and have them physically removed. He aggressively confronted guests as they parked, sometimes standing at the driver's window and telling them, “Don’t even Get Out of Your Vehicle,” before they could open the door. On three occasions when I approached him while he was acting this way, he threatened to call law enforcement. I encouraged him to do so. This behavior remained a concern as recently as the Christmas holiday. I had witnessed Karl act this way toward others before I experienced it myself. The disrespect, bullying, racial unjust, conscious bias, degradation, threats, verbal aggression, instrumental aggression and direct aggression shouldn't be treated as behavior the organization praises or rewards. Karl doesn't reflect the organization's mission or the values needed to support it. I've left numerous messages on the corporate line asking for a return call and resolution, but haven't heard back. Reviews on numerous sites suggest this is a known issue. Please address it before the behavior escalates and someone is physically harmed. This review isn't about the location's leadership team. Manager Katrina, her assistant Angela, Pete from maintenance, and the housekeeping team deserve recognition for their great work providing world-class service in this industry. But I emphatically urge the organization to reevaluate Karl in his supposed night security role. The organization's stated mission is to make every guest stay memorable through small gestures, to do good and do well, and to surprise and delight guests with warm, friendly service and affordability while providing clean, safe, convenient, and flexible accommodations. Thank you for your time and patience in reviewing this issue.

The price was the best I found in the surrounding area, and when you follow the property guidelines, it's a peaceful place to stay. Angela at the front and Katrina are both friendly and very helpful. I absolutely love Angela.
