Scottish Inn Jacksonville Downtown

The bed was comfortable, and this worked for us as a place to stop overnight while driving. I wouldn't stay longer than a night, though. We never got the continental breakfast, so we can't say what it was like. There was nothing available when we went. The place is run down. Large bugs in the room made it feel less clean, and the floor had so much dirt on it that our shoes and rolling bags picked up a dark layer of grime. The towels were tiny, barely bigger than hand towels, and well worn.

I needed a place in an emergency and this did the job. The room and grounds seemed sketchy, but I slept, showered, and didn't see any bugs. It was perfectly placed for getting onto I-95, exactly what I needed then. I couldn't print my cruise travel documents, though, which was why I was in the area. For the price, it's hard to complain too much. It could be a gem if they remodeled and rebranded it.

This is the most disgusting motel I've ever stayed in. It was cheap and had the basics, but the non-smoking room smelled of smoke and pee so badly I felt suffocated. I couldn't sleep inside. I spent the day outdoors and stayed out at night just to keep my time in the room to a minimum. They moved me to another room, but it smelled the same. There was hair on the bedsheets, apparently from previous customers, so it seemed housekeeping had put the same sheets back on instead of changing them. See the photos.

There was mold in the shower, and after a week here, housekeeping refused to give me towels. The people in the room next door were having a domestic violence WWE match. Never again! It looks okay on sites like Expedia, but it's definitely not the same as the pictures.
