The views and location were lovely, and the staff were friendly. I appreciated the clean laundry facilities and the free washer and dryer, plus the ice machine that dispensed 10 lb bags. The room was small, and although the kitchen had what we needed, there wasn't anything to cook on besides one gas grill by the pool. The restaurant deck sits just a few feet above it and almost reaches the pool fence, so I didn't feel comfortable grilling or hanging out by the pool with restaurant patrons directly overhead. Outdoor seating was limited to those areas, and the pictures gave a misleading impression. We still had a good stay and found ways to work around the drawbacks.

We held my daughter's baby shower here, and the meal was very good. It came out at the right times, which helped the party keep moving along. The room was clean and looked out toward the Newport Bridge and Jamestown harbor.

There isn't much to do at this Wyndham resort, though it does have a restaurant attached. It's one of the older Wyndham properties, and the rooms don't have kitchens.

Ruth and Bree at the front desk were wonderful 💯. Our room was surprisingly spacious and so comfortable, and we loved sitting on the balcony with its water and bridge views. We had a great week despite the bad weather. Quite a gem.

Jamestown is quiet, and the inn itself was clean, well cared for, and had a room we liked. Just know there's no full kitchen. The bridge over to Jamestown costs $6.00 each way, and parking in Newport is a nightmare. If you want more activity, Newport may suit you better. You can leave your car at a resort there and get around on foot or by free trolley.
