They’re remodeling, with signs saying work runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Even during renovations, it was clean and quiet, and management seemed to be handling things well. I was impressed and would stay again, and tell others about it. The rooms are usually clean, and if housekeeping misses something, the front desk makes sure it gets taken care of. The staff are among the best in the hotel business, always helpful, kind, and friendly.
The lot is big, though parking a truck might be tight. There’s no breakfast for now because the remodel is still going on, but the pool was open and looked clean. I didn’t try it. You can hear everything from upstairs, outside, and in the hall. The hot water was great. I couldn’t get the TV to work, but I don’t watch it anyway. Once the remodel is finished, it should be nice. I’ll look to stay here again.
People were fighting in the hallway and outside over the weekend, and our room wasn’t cleaned or given fresh sheets during our stay. The toilet never flushed properly, and the faucet was barely attached to the counter. The heater was broken when we arrived. They fixed it right away, but it stopped working again, so we had to leave it off all weekend because it only blew cold air. The whole experience was horrible. I won’t stay there again.
The place is a bit aged, but that doesn’t bother me. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, I felt safe, and the price was great. The coffee in the room wasn’t anything special, just my personal opinion. I smelled weed as soon as I came in the front entrance. Welcome to pure green Michigan 🤘. I don’t have a problem with that. I originally had a second-floor room, but when the owner noticed my limp, he immediately moved me to a ground-floor room. That was exceptional customer service. The staff were excellent, and I’d definitely come back. If you’re looking for an economical room with a heated indoor pool, this is a good choice.
The sheets seemed fine at first, but when my buddy opened them, there were dried blood stains on the bed. Staff quickly changed the sheets and apologized, but they shouldn’t have been left there for new guests in the first place. The vending machines were empty, and the continental “breakfast” was just cereal and awful-tasting “juices.” The pool was fine until unsupervised teenagers came running in and repeatedly diving. They kept using the open side door to run out and jump back in near other people, which made everyone uncomfortable. The pool steps were also broken, with a sharp edge, so swim at your own risk. Don’t waste your money, it isn’t worth it.
