The Riverhouse king room was quiet, stylish, and plenty roomy for two adults to move around comfortably. Staff were super friendly, the location was great, and we also loved the restaurant and bar. Breakfast was just what the listing promised, continental, with lots of good options. Before booking Kennebunkport Inn, I was a little worried by comments about small Riverhouse rooms and breakfast, and as a light sleeper I wondered if the old building would be noisy. My wife and I had a great stay, and none of that was an issue. We picked this place after researching the area and will definitely return. Don't let those negative reviews put you off, it's a gem.

The noise made this past stay our last. Both nights there were very intoxicated people making noise at all hours, and on the second night it went on until 3am. The food at the restaurant also left something to be desired this year. When we stayed in March, one dish was inedible, too. We rarely complain or send food back, especially when staff are so kind, but this property needs an overhaul. The beds, linens, and paint all need replacing. The location is great, but the noise and influencer tourism have ruined the experience for us. This used to be one of our favorite places; over the past two years it's become uncomfortable and fallen into the influencer trap. We usually stayed here and at boathouse, but from now on we'll choose boathouse. We've come for birthdays, anniversaries, and New Year's. Staff have always been lovely, and in the past they've moved us when the heat went out or, as another review mentioned, when the beds were bowing.

Fall in Maine is magical, and our several days at the Inn last week were lovely. The restaurant food was great, everyone was friendly, and we had a fireplace in our room. It felt like being in a Hallmark movie. Can't wait to go back.

The bed felt like a lumpy sandbag, which was the one real downside. Otherwise, great staff, an excellent location, and a great place.

The rooms were quaint, nice, and clean, and the staff welcomed us warmly and were helpful. We ate breakfast outside on the patio each morning, which was delightful. It's a continental breakfast as promised, with juice, bagels, English muffins, Chobani yogurt in personal-size cups, Danish, and cereal. It's light on protein, so if you need eggs and bacon, this isn't the spot. Burleigh, the hotel's restaurant and bar, was delicious. There's a lot within easy walking distance: restaurants, shops, dessert shops, T-shirt and candle stores, a bridge, lobster rolls, churches, the post office, a library, and more. The location is excellent. One fun surprise was that there are no phones in the rooms, which gave the place an old-time feel. We also appreciated the connection with other local hotels. At The Lodge on the Cove, we picked up beach chairs and towels for Mother’s Beach. They also have a pool and games, including corn hole. We highly recommend Kennebunkport Inn.
