The neighbors were wonderful, beautiful people, like everyone in this amazing town. Lafayette has gorgeous, friendly people, and if you have serious health issues and Greyhound leaves you stranded over ADA violations, this is the town you'd want to be left in with nothing. I ended up at this affordable motel after Greyhound left me somewhere I'd never been. The people running it were extremely rude and argumentative. The rooms were awful, full of bugs, and had no phone. If you want to find the rudest people in Lafayette, LA, talk to any male employee or the owner here.

I was so tired from a long trip that I stayed, but I won't do that again. I booked a non-smoking king through Expedia, then was asked for $20 cash for a non-smoking room and put in a smoking room instead. The smoke smell wasn't horrible, but it was there. The room was dirty, with stains and burn holes in the bed linens, and the towels smelled clean but looked dingy. We got up very early to finish our drive and leave. There were cars in the lot with people sitting in them, and the scene looked like a drug dealer's paradise. I only saw two other vehicles that seemed to belong to guests. Next time, I'd sleep in the back of my truck before staying here.

The towels were disgusting, the room wasn't cleaned properly, and the floor wasn't swept well. I should've spent my money more wisely. They quoted me $65 a night, then another worker told me $80 in the morning.

We came here last minute after a bad Airbnb experience, and it was a breath of fresh air. The room was spotless, the shower was amazing, and the price was great. The employees were really friendly and asked more than once if we had suggestions because they truly want guests to have a good experience. It's a little outside the busy downtown area, but well worth the extra drive. We'll be back.
