Comfort Inn Lafayette North I-10

We really needed a quiet place to rest, and the room gave us that. The mattress was very uncomfortable, with springs you could hear all night, but we accepted that tradeoff for the quiet. We arrived around 8 pm to a quiet lobby, and the desk clerk checked us in promptly. At first, the person checking us in insisted on a $50 smoking deposit, but eventually waived it. We aren't smokers, and I didn't argue, though I did assure him I don't smoke. The room had just been cleaned, so the floor was still wet and smelled strongly of Pine-Sol. There were a couple of stray hairs, but nothing worth worrying over.

After many days on the road, it was a relief to be welcomed by such friendly staff. My stay at Comfort Inn, 2200 Evangeline Throughway in Lafeyette, was relaxed and worry-free, thanks to the accommodations and the hotel's calm feel. The rooms were amazing, and there were lots of restaurants within a 5-mile radius. I've stayed in many hotels over the years, and this one is my number one.

We stay at a lot of Comforts, and this was easily the worst. The room felt damp and the floor was sticky, while the noisy beds were uncomfortable. The tub shower was so slippery it felt like a fall hazard. Wall outlets were loose, and one actually had no outlet cover. Very disappointing. My partner called it a Dis-Comfort inn.

There was a dead cockroach in the bathroom when I arrived, and the place had a funky smell. The bed was uncomfortable and the springs were really loud. Pay a little extra for a better hotel.
