Comfort Inn & Suites LaGrange East

The front desk staff were really nice and friendly, which was the best part of the place. Our room was generally clean, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was okay, nothing special but doable. The carpets could use a little more attention since carpets can get gross, though I could tell they were trying to keep them clean.

The bathroom was nasty, with mold on the shower curtain and a black ring around the tub. The tub clogged and filled up to my ankles, showing just how far that ring went up the sides. The sink was blocked too, and the front and sides of the toilet looked untouched. Every mirror was streaky and foggy, so I had to clean them before I could look in without hurting my eyes. The carpet was filthy and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. I also had to clean the air conditioner filter myself. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!

The breakfast that was supposed to be included wasn’t available. They’d run out of food and told guests they were waiting for their food truck. The TV didn’t work either. In Room 313, the floor by the AC was soaked, probably causing the strong moldy smell that hit as soon as we entered. There were also roaches crawling out of the crevices around the elevator doors. Cleanliness, maintenance, and hospitality all fell short of basic expectations. I wouldn’t recommend staying here and won’t come back.

The manager went out of their way to return an item I’d left behind, and the staff were very helpful. The rooms were clean and breakfast was good. I’d happily stay again and would recommend Comfort Inn LaGrange East.
