Duo Boutique Hotel

This is a beautiful hotel that’s been here a long time and has had several makeovers. I’m staying here tonight. I think whoever added the listing entered the wrong address, because it says the hotel isn’t here. They’re wrong.

I never stayed in the room, but I still haven’t received the refund I was promised. Manager Emily offered me a full refund, said she understood why I didn’t want to stay, and asked me to email my name and reason. I did. Another manager, Estell, hung up on me, and Luke still hasn’t answered or called back. My check-in was supposed to be at 3 p.m., but the system was down and I had to wait another hour. At 4, I opened the room door and was hit by a terrible smell. There was a huge stain on the floor. I started recording, grabbed my bags, and went straight back to the office to say there was no way I’d stay there. I took a five-minute video of how disgusting it was. The office area didn’t stink, but the room did, and other customers were complaining about the same things. They say their system is always down. They can take your payment, but apparently can’t refund it. I was told this shouldn’t even be open. I’m going to release the video and expose this roach-infested, disgusting hotel.

The bathroom floor and the area just outside it got really slippery when we stepped out of the shower. That was my one complaint. We didn’t use the pools, so I can’t speak to them. I travel for work and stay in hotels in this same price range many nights a month, and this room was cleaner and more spacious than a lot of them. The staff were pleasant and welcoming. I’d definitely stay here again.

This didn’t feel like a resort hotel. The rooms were very basic, baggage carts were hard to get, and the ice machines on the second and fourth floors weren’t working. There’s an 18% service fee in the restaurant, and most of the help staff speak only Spanish.
