WoodSpring Suites Lake Charles

We walked into the room and were hit by a horrible odor, like mildew or something rotten. There was mold growing, and the humidity was unreal. The floors were grimy, dirt was everywhere, and everything had a thick layer of dust. The refrigerator had dirt and hair in it too. The bed was a cheap mattress on a flimsy metal frame, and ours was broken underneath so we kept sliding off. We got only two thin sheets and a thinner blanket, with no toiletries, silverware, or shower curtain. For what we paid, I could have found a much nicer place. I've never felt so dirty after a hotel stay.

The hotel is in a nice area and looks good from outside, but inside it smells awful and is really nasty. The older man at the front desk was the rudest and worst customer service I've ever experienced. Also, the desk is closed at night. The staff all leave, with just a paper giving a phone number for emergencies. This place was horrible.

If zero stars were an option, that's what I'd give it. The room felt like a jail, with a hard, stiff rollaway mattress on a kids' sized bed, and the flattest pillows I've ever seen. They said no refunds once we'd checked in and seen the beat-up room. Stay here if you want to toss and turn, have back problems, and still get no sleep. Smdh!

I didn't stay here. I went to visit my parents and saw the conditions, then decided they couldn't stay there. My mom is disabled, but they put them on the third floor anyway. The halls and elevators smelled of weed. Their bed had cigarette stains and looked unclean, and there were bugs crawling around that looked like bed bugs. A front desk clerk had invited friends over for a Halloween party and disappeared from the desk. When we went back downstairs to ask for their money back, no one was there. My parents didn't stay at the hotel. I took them elsewhere because they didn't feel safe. They've been trying to reach corporate since the manager and other staff won't call back. They paid for two days and couldn't use them. The hotel can check the cameras. I think it's wrong that they had to lose that money in those conditions.
