Lake George Bear's Den

The pool was a great way to spend our afternoons, and the cabins were clean, charming, and had what we needed. It’s like camping, except you get a bed and a shower, which we loved. Dan, the owner, and his daughter Lauren gave us restaurant, activity, and hiking suggestions, and every one was right on. We had a wonderful week at The Bear’s Den and would happily return. Thanks to Dan, Meg, and Lauren. We didn’t get to meet Claire.

We liked our cabin so much that we added another night. It was adorable and felt like home, and the main attractions were close and easy to reach. The owner made sure we had what we needed and was there in case anything came up. I’d book here again without hesitation and would love to come back.

We found the cabin peaceful and quiet, and the other guests were really friendly. It was also pet friendly, which mattered a lot to us. Our pup got to spend time with the other dogs there, and we’ll be back. Dan and his family were courteous and professional, with the kind of hospitality that made us feel at home. The price was great too. This place was everything my wife and I expected, and more.

Our cabin was immaculate and fit five adults, a four-month-old baby, and three dogs. We swam in the pool during the day and had our own fire pit to sit around at night. The trolley picked us up right at the end of the driveway for a fun ride into town. We only stayed for the weekend but had a blast. Dan, the new owner since this past spring, and his family were caring, helpful, and fun. I’d give the place 10 stars if I could. We’re definitely coming back next year, probably for a week or more!
