The private beach and pool were highlights, and having direct lake access was lovely. Sun Castle Resort feels peaceful and relaxing, while the village is only a short drive away for shops, meals, and activities. The staff were helpful and welcoming, and made the stay easy. Watching sunrise and sunset over the lake was unforgettable. The townhomes and villas are spacious and very clean, with a comfortable mix of privacy and convenience. The location right on Lake George is hard to beat, with beautiful views throughout the day. It would be a great choice for a family trip, a couple’s getaway, or a group vacation. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely return.

The townhouses felt like a home away from home, with lots of space and that classic Adirondack feel inside. I loved looking out at the beautiful lake from our porch, and the beach was just steps away. Sun Castle resort’s location is hard to beat. It’s also great that kayaks and paddle boards are available, so you can head out on the lake on a calm morning. One night we had delicious food and drinks on the terrace of the Erlowest while listening to live music. It was a perfect evening. Being close to the village but away from the hustle and bustle was convenient for us. We made great memories here and plan to return for years to come.

The pool and private beach were really nice, and we’d come back. Our two-bedroom townhouse was comfortable, with two and a half baths. Just keep in mind the units sit on a hill above the water, and the paths are very steep, so they may be tough for older guests or anyone with limited mobility. There was only one assigned spot near our unit, though plenty of free parking was a short walk away. The gas grill had no tools or cleaning brush, so check before you start cooking. We also ran short on silverware, plates, and pans, and had just one steak knife. We made do with paper plates and plastic forks. A couple of small maintenance problems came up; we fixed one ourselves and a maintenance person quickly handled the other.

The staff kept the appetizers, drinks, and meal coming, and the whole wedding went smoothly. My niece got married here this past weekend. We didn’t stay at the property, but the wedding party slept in the castle suites afterward and loved them. It’s a beautiful historic castle with lovely views, especially at this time of year. They had the outdoor fireplace and heaters going on a chilly evening. Everyone we dealt with was wonderful, from the food to the setup and event itself. The mashed potato station was a hit with us. Thanks for a memorable day. 10/17/2024.
