Tea Island Resort

We spent two nights at the resort and loved that it’s right on the lake. It’s clean, conveniently located, and the staff were very friendly. Free use of the canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards was another plus. The furniture is old and needs replacing, though. We’d stay again if we return to Lake George. Just check that your visit doesn’t fall during a motorcycle event.

We loved the house we rented for a few days. It was quiet, had gorgeous views, and the beach area was beautifully maintained. The furnished sitting area on the gorgeous dock faced Tea Island, the coffee provided was excellent, and we had a full fridge, microwave, plates, and cutlery. The shower had excellent water pressure, but it needs a grab bar or two and a bath mat. The suction cup grab bars would work well. One issue was the broken vertical blinds in the bedroom with two beds. They’re very impractical, and we could’ve hung sheets over them, but didn’t want to damage them further when they were already broken, so we just used another room. We drove into the village.

Juanita gave us top-notch service, and the lake view was wonderful. The rooms felt really cozy too. I’d absolutely recommend staying here.

The property is fabulous, with a great beachfront and excellent amenities for enjoying the lake. It’s clean, quiet, and friendly, and the rooms are comfortable. They’re basic, as with the other resorts up here, but have everything you need and are well kept.
