Nan gave me ideas for each day and even followed up later to ask how it went. I stayed in the Sky View room in the Cedar building, and loved the whole experience. The decor was fabulous, with a bark ceiling and antler stair railings. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom had great amenities and a jacuzzi tub, and breakfast was amazing. Thank you!

Nan and Red made us feel welcome and were fun to be around. The lodge was comfortable and nicely done, and the food was incredible. We’d read lots of positive reviews, but Paradox Lodge still exceeded our expectations. Its setting feels really unique and special. We’ll definitely be back.

Nan and Red were such gracious hosts, and Red’s experience as a restaurant owner showed in the breakfast. It was worth the stay by itself. We had a cozy room and a very, very comfortable bed, with a lovely yard right on the water. The restaurants nearby were delicious and an easy walk away. Amazing room and location. We’ll come again, and stay longer next time.

Paradox is the best bed and breakfast we’ve stayed at on our travels. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with a lovely Adirondack feel, and the location is just right. The hosts are wonderful too. Whenever we’re in Lake Placid, this is where we stay.

We picked the place for the rustic feel of the room, which was what we were after. That was about the only good part. The host was extremely unfriendly to us, and the guy working in the kitchen just wouldn’t talk to us. I don’t understand the good reviews about the host, she wasn’t friendly or nice to us at all.
