This place was good a few years ago, but it’s gone downhill fast. The cleaning staff are mostly rude and seem to expect you to clean the room yourself. My last stay was definitely my last because they have bedbugs. David Kincaid, the district manager, is very helpful and goes out of his way for customers in need. But I’ll pass on risking bedbugs just to deal with a great manager.

It’s sad because this was a very nice hotel three years ago. They wouldn’t let me check in before 3 p.m., no exceptions. The room looked okay at first and was reasonably clean, but the TV didn’t work, so I asked to move. Two hours later, maintenance replaced it with one that worked, but the picture was so fuzzy I could barely see anything. The place was infested with roaches, and I wanted to vomit. The bathroom was nasty too.

We were visiting from out of state, and when extended-stay rooms were sold out, we booked a room here across the way. The room was outdated, with spider webs in the corners, and the price felt too high. I had to shower with my shoes on because the tub looked spotted and unclean. The sink looked remodeled and was the only nice thing. The bathroom door was broken, the sheets were torn, and I found tobacco residue in the bed even though I’d requested a non-smoking room. I had a rough time sleeping beside my spouse and newborn, worried something might crawl on us. I didn’t see bedbugs or rodents. It definitely felt like a party hotel.

The room had only two towels and no washcloths. The furniture was old and broken, and the place needs serious remodeling. Customer service was poor. The maid knocked at 10 a.m. even though checkout was at 11. Since they started offering weekly rates, the hotel has really gone downhill and turned into a place for transients and people who smoke strong-smelling marijuana. There were also people across the hall banging on a door and arguing with whoever was inside.
