Holiday House Motel

For soul food, M&M Soul Food is the place to go for fish and grits or oxtail soup. Be ready to wait a bit since they prepare the food to order. I like the fruit punch and lemonade mixed together. It's really sweet. Stop by and give it a try.

The remodeling and change from a motel to furnished and unfurnished studios were done well. But this is now "The Blvd Boutique Apartments" at both 2211 and 2205 South Las Vegas Blvd, and they don't seem to screen residents well. Police are often there, some residents ignore noise limits and assigned parking, and people smoke in the hallways, including legal and illegal substances that are supposedly prohibited. For over a year, they've advertised a long list of amenities that aren't available because construction isn't finished or things don't work. That feels misleading. Do your research.

I didn't stay at this hotel, but you have to try the soul food place next door, m&m. It's on the Strip across from the Stratosphere hotel. You won't regret it. I had the catfish, which was great, and collard greens and dressing, both okay. I don't like sweet greens. My brother had meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy, and wow.

The food was great, and the prices are cheap. I wish I could have stayed longer. It's a perfect spot, and I'm hoping to go back very soon.
