During a sports tournament stay, all the families had problems. My first room smelled so strongly of dog urine that I felt sick. The TVs were on the floor and weren’t hooked up, and when I asked to move, I was told there were no other rooms. I also asked for a room one of our families had left because its TVs were on the floor and the lights didn’t work, but the desk associate said she couldn’t give it to me. She later showed me a room on the ground floor and said its TVs were on the bed, but I could move there in the morning. At noon I called to ask, and was told the hotel was full and I couldn’t move. I said I knew that wasn’t true because I’d seen the room empty the night before. She said she’d call back, then brought new keys an hour later. The room didn’t smell, but it was dirty. My feet turned black after walking around for five minutes. I bought floor cleaner and disinfectant because I didn’t trust that anyone would come clean it. The bathroom was dirty and seemed to have mold. The entry light kept turning on and off, and the bathroom light fixture was improperly installed, leaving the wires and inside of the wall visible. The same was true of the fire sprinklers. Another family had blood on the walls and some sheets, as well as dirty towels. None of our families received compensation or a discount for all these problems.

The soccer team’s rooms and keys were all arranged before we arrived, so check-in was quick and easy. The staff were great and very accommodating. There were only double beds, which felt a bit cramped, but we had a good stay overall.

We came to Nevada for rock climbing, and the drive to Red Rocks was a little long. Most of it was on the highway, so it wasn’t too bad. Driving around Las Vegas took some getting used to, with fast traffic and six or more lanes at times. The climbing was incredible, and Red Rocks is picturesque. If you climb for four days or more, get a park pass. At the hotel, we found the staff polite and helpful, the place clean, and the service excellent. The free breakfast was convenient, and the pool, gym, and hot tub were nice extras. Shops and restaurants were nearby, with larger stores like Target about 10 to 25 minutes away on foot. We’d recommend the hotel and would return.

The hotel quickly found weekend emergency housing for my family. The staff were pleasant to work with, and the room and amenities were clean and enjoyable. It was in my area, so the location worked out perfectly.

We tried two rooms, and both reeked of urine. The front desk staff seemed not to care about helping us. They said guests were allowed to bring pets, which I don’t object to, but a pet-friendly hotel should have staff who clean up after the animals. The place looked nothing like the photos. It was old, dark, and disgusting, with filthy walls and floors. We didn’t want to risk eating the breakfast, so we demanded a refund and left. We then had to find another hotel during Thanksgiving. We went down the street to Home 2 Suites 8906 w deer springs way, Las Vegas. It was modern, accommodating, and had an awesome breakfast. Honestly, don’t waste your time at La Quinta Inn and suites by Wyndham Las Vegas Summerlin Tech. Go to Home 2 Suites instead and avoid the drama and filth. You’ve been warned.
