Even basic supplies were limited: we got one toilet paper roll and three towels for the whole stay, however long it was. The hot water was also out for two or three days. Staff seemed to monitor everything on camera and the workers walking around complained about every little thing, from a bit of trash outside my car to smoking too close to the doors. I was even told I couldn't refuse maid service because they had to do a security check in the room to make sure I wasn't smoking. All that watching made me feel unsafe, more like I was in a halfway house than a hotel. It wasn't relaxing at all.
There are plenty of stores, food, and gas nearby, and it's all walkable. The people are chill and cool, and the place has that busy, old big city feel. This was my first time on this side of North Texas. InTown 2025 is an inexpensive, good option. If something comes up, call them; if not, give them time. They keep things up well.
We stayed for 11 days, me and the kids, and they refused to clean our room. There were roaches, blood stains on another bed, and stains on the bathroom walls where it looked like they had tried to cover some up. The AC hadn't been cleaned, and the mold made us have allergy reactions. It was uncomfortable the whole time.
The long term setup made it easier to have some stability, and the price is affordable. My room was clean, and the staff treated me with respect and were helpful. It's straightforward and delivers what it says. I'd recommend InTown Suites for a dependable short or long stay.
My grandson, a high school senior who works full time, stayed with my oldest son. After the front desk woman initially said he could stay, she and a white maintenance man began harassing him every week for weeks, demanding ID and threatening to call police when teenage Black boys didn't show it. Eventually my son was told to leave without any reason given. My daughter went to ask for corporate contact details, but the desk clerk refused and gave her her own card instead. She left in tears. The front desk worker was horrible, and I hadn't realized racism like this still existed until this situation.
