Comfort Inn Lincoln I-80

This family run hotel made me feel at home and cared for during my short stay. The staff were kind, the area felt safe, and the room was clean and comfortable. I was there five nights and checked out 2/3/26. Gas station and McDonald's are nearby, and it's also close to the airport and National Guard. Breakfast is included from 06:00-09:00, and there's a washer and dryer available. I'm very grateful for the experience. 🙏💚 Thank you 💚🙏

I came in without a reservation, asked for two nights, and left after the first because I couldn't stand staying another. I'm traveling diagonally across the US, and this was the worst place I've stayed. I'd rather sleep in my car and use Love's or Pilots to shower and use the bathroom. I was apparently put on the only working floor, the third, and I suspect the lower floors may have bed bugs. I thought my room was clear, but I got a bite on my butt cheek. I was right to be paranoid. Stay away. The pool has been left drained to about a foot of water for months, with visible pond scum on top. Half the lights and appliances wouldn't turn on when I arrived. The husband came up after I called, and I had to help him move furniture to figure out why things weren't working. The microwave and refrigerator had been off so long that mold grew inside, and I had to clean them myself. I think they may have been limiting the electricity because the appliances worked intermittently. I only saw the husband, wife, grandpa, and their two daughters. It was obvious to me that there was no other staff or maintenance, and that almost nothing had been cleaned or maintained beyond the bare minimum. The room smelled like trash, had flies, and the pillowcases clearly hadn't been washed between guests. The desk was sticky with something sugary. The private parking lot roads were in worse repair than Nebraska's public roads. The guest WiFi wasn't the official Comfort Inn portal either. It went through a strange “splash.skyadmin.io” page with a plain text password before redirecting to “choicehotelwifi.com.” The billing was also a mess. I was charged $191.44 for two nights, then after checking out the next day, another $95.72 showed up on my card. I complained to Comfort Inn corporate and checked my statement. I think the father was doing something shady with the charges. Without noticing the extra billing and complaining, I don't think he would have refunded the night I didn't stay. I think he might otherwise have charged me for three days after I booked two and left after one. This place makes me question the Comfort Inn brand, which I'd come to prefer after traveling across the country. How has this location at “Comfort Inn Lincoln I-80, 1010 W Bond St, Lincoln, NE 68521” not lost its franchise license? I think it may be breaking laws, let alone brand standards.

The first room had sheets so dirty they looked like someone had jumped on the bed with shoes on. It also had bed bugs. I lay down for just a couple minutes and got several bites. The second room was a little better, but it looked like someone had used the sheets to clean their ear and left wax behind. 0/10. I'd rather camp outside in a tent than stay here.

I got in late and slept like a baby. The room was really comfortable, the price was terrific, and I absolutely loved the bed.
