The owners are nice. Be kind and patient with them, and you'll win them over as a good patron of their establishment.

The room was spacious, with a cute layout, and the location can't be beat. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. The bathroom was clean, though there were stains and crumbs on the bedding. Still, it was a great choice for the price, and I'll definitely stay again next time.

The room was a pleasant surprise: it was spacious, seemed well cleaned, had updated decor and newer appliances, and everything worked. The heater and AC were great, the water pressure was good, and there was a microwave and fridge. The soaps were mediocre, the bed was a bit too firm for me, and the bedspread was thin like most hotel bedding. No coffee pot, pen, or paper in the room, and no dishes or silverware either. Maybe those were available on request, but I wasn't going to ask Mr. Crankypants. The location is handy for restaurants, bars, and stores, though traffic noise could be an issue and there's no view. The service was a different story. I called to book, and the owner was half asleep and rude. I had to prompt her for questions and gave her my information without being asked, including my name. When I arrived, nobody was in the office, and I waited a while for service. The manager's strong Indian accent made him hard for me to understand, so I asked him to repeat himself. He seemed irritated and was rude. He told us not to "mess up" the room, demanded $110 plus a $20 deposit, tossed us a key, then stumbled off to bed. No explanation of amenities, no hospitality, not even a welcoming smile. If they put as much effort into amenities and customer service as they do into the room's cleanliness and style, this motel could be top notch and a sought after place to stay, not just a last resort.

The old-fashioned feel gives this little motel a lot of character, and it’s clean and comfortable too. Everything I needed was an easy walk away. Even checking in at midnight, I was greeted by a cheerful woman at the desk. There’s a charming caboose coffee shop in the parking lot, too. I’ll stay here whenever I’m in town.
