Los Angeles Hollywood Rooms

We found the furnishings simple but comfortable, and VERY clean. The rooms are inexpensive, though our stay was noisy because police helicopters were overhead that night and we could hear them clearly. The bathrooms are separate from the rooms, every door uses its own code, and there’s a shared kitchen. All in all, a pretty nice stay.

The room was clean, the house looked newly remodeled, and the location and price were good. Still, I wouldn’t come back. The lock on my door was broken, so someone could open or shut it just by pushing. On the first floor, I also had no way to control the AC. It was around 48 degrees outside and probably 55 inside, yet the AC ran all night. Whenever it kicked on, it jolted hard enough to shake the wall beside my bed and wake me. Parking was a mess too. I know LA parking can be difficult, but two people taking up spaces meant for four was ridiculous. When I texted the hotel, they said they couldn’t help until the next day.

I sent emails and tried calling six times. They did reply to my email with the contract to sign, but the rooms were filthy. There was a Q-tip and bottle cap in dust behind the bathroom door, the shower was dirty, and so were the beds. It isn’t a five-star hotel, but it should still be clean. The walls need paint too. You’d be better off at a proper hotel. ...

My friends and I had a pretty nice two-night stay, and I’d come back. Just know what to expect. Bring your own towels, and clean up after yourself since this isn’t a hotel. The hot water in the shower takes a while to come through. The bigger problem was outside: I saw homeless people bothering cars on both nights. A tweaker blocked the gate, touched my car, and smeared BBQ sauce on the hood and back. I didn’t have my taser or pepper spray, so I couldn’t do anything. I saw him do the same to a parked car out front, shove toilet paper into someone’s grill, and I saw multiple people mess with cars. If you park outside, stay away from the liquor store; if you park inside, keep away from the gate entrance.
