There were convenient food and activity options nearby, but I’d find another place to stay. It was run down and not clean. There was moldy takeout left in the microwave, and the towels weren’t clean either. If someone used water elsewhere in the hotel, the shower could scald you. The AC overheated and couldn’t be used. They call it a hotel, but it’s definitely a motel, and the price was far too high for this quality, even for Los Angeles.

I booked through booking.com and arrived at 1PM, but they told me to come back at 4PM. When I returned, they said they’d rented my room to someone else for a better rate. I was still charged and haven’t gotten a refund. Booking tells me to contact the hotel, while the hotel says I need to contact booking.com. Worst experience ever.

I was traveling through LA by truck and stayed one night. The room was clean, good quality, quiet that particular night, and the mattress was firm. The staff were courteous and helpful, and there were no rude, loud neighbors. It was good value and felt like a nice, safe neighborhood where I could walk around alone and enjoy the LA vibe. Griffith park/ Observatory was very close, just a short Uber ride away. Afterward I went out to eat, and there are lots of dining options nearby. It’s a good area to visit and not overly expensive. I’ll return.

I booked a reservation on 11/14/2024 for room 219, spending $600, but when I arrived there was nobody at the front desk. A guy was hanging out across the parking lot. After he came over and I showed him my confirmation code, he said they were already booked and couldn’t have my reservation. It took about an hour, including talking with his manager, before I finally got into the room. At first it seemed decent, but the next morning I rolled over and saw a BEDBUG. I flicked it away and searched the sheets, where I found reddish brown stains that might have been something else. I left right away and called the manager, David or Daniel, I’m not sure which name. He said he’d issue a full refund. After a week of back and forth with the staff member who handles refunds, they said I was only entitled to a PARTIAL refund, even though I stayed just one night without knowing how filthy it was. This shady place made me feel completely unvalued as a guest. The front desk employees were incompetent. Don’t risk sleeping in a dirty place infested with bloody bedbugs. Beware.
