Sanborn Guest House

The peaceful backyard was one of my favorite parts of staying at Sanborn Guest House. Gary was kind and quick to respond, and the clean room had its own living area and bathroom. There’s a kitchen shared with the other guest house, but it never caused any problems, and I didn’t see the other guests. It felt like home and was great value. I’ll stay again when I visit LA.

The owner was really nice and helpful, and there are restaurants nearby with bus stops just a few steps away. The house is beautiful, and before long my room felt like home. Easily one of the nicest places I’ve stayed while abroad.

We spent our stay in the suite at Sanborn Guest House and loved the quiet street and little garden, which was great for eating or getting work done outside. The place was spotless and nicely decorated, and having a full kitchen was handy. Shops, bars, and some of Silver Lake’s best restaurants are an easy walk away. The owners were flexible and helpful. Such a hidden gem, I’d happily recommend it.

Gary and Jaime were easy to reach whenever we had questions, and their local food and activity tips were useful. The Sanborn Guest House feels like a home, with roomy spaces, Gary’s artwork, books, and rooms that have more character than a standard hotel. There’s a shared kitchen for making meals, and each room has its own entrance. The residential area is quiet and safe, with Sunset Blvd shops and restaurants within walking distance. Drivers can use gated off-street parking. A really nice change from the usual hotel.
