I booked The Willow six months ahead and was supposed to receive the apartment entry code a month before arriving. There was apparently an issue with my credit card, so I contacted Willow, who told me everything would be fine. I then spent three weeks traveling around the US before heading to LA. A week before arrival I still had no check-in details, so I started calling. I tried 10, then 20, then 30 times, but couldn’t reach anyone. I called Booking.com because I thought something seemed suspicious, but they said they could only help after the check-in time on arrival day had passed. Just as I expected, the owner of The Willow didn’t answer. I went to the address too, but there was no reception. Booking.com eventually arranged another place, but arriving in LA like this was terrible. One of my worst travel days. Avoid booking here!

We arrived to find the property without power, and there was nowhere for us to stay. I only got an answering machine when I called, and they still won’t return my calls. They’ve already charged my credit card, but I have no refund yet. Ugh. They won’t return my calls!

The host was really nice, and the location was perfect. Such a charming getaway. I’ll come back on my next trip to LA.
